No. All 14 friends — Manuel, Sofía, Carlos, Valentina, Beatriz, Rafael, Giulia, Lorenzo, Marie, Lucas, Anna, Stefan, Eleni and Yiannis — are AI characters with distinct personalities, accents and lives. They remember your conversations, ask about your week, and adapt to your level.

How do you decide what to teach me?

Every word you tap, save, or get wrong feeds a quiet learning model. Characters naturally weave those words back into future messages so you see them in fresh context — until they stick. Once you use a word correctly a few times, the system moves on.

Can I save words and phrases?

Yes. Tap any word in a message to see its meaning and bookmark it. You can also save entire replies you love — your friends will reuse those phrases later to help you internalise them.
